I get a delay from R to D all the time since day one, but I don't have any problems with that 3rd gear everyone seems to talk about.

I've had a 3-4 sec. delay after switching from R to D5 since day one as well. I'm not sure this is a problem as I note no other problems with the tranny over its now 26 000 miles.

I just make sure I don't need to get away from someone in a hurry.

yea, on my first tranny have delay too..but this one is worst than the one i had..this one is like..when i shift to D from R..it was like i shift it in N..when i notice this today i was doing a three point turn. after i shift it into R, the car wasn't moving for like 5 sec..and i give it alittle gas..and i got those gear hurting each other sound.

When i got my 2nd tranny replace i have no delay on DtoR or PtoR.
Also i have no delay on D->R or P->D..on have delay every time i try to shift into R~

I will let u guys know, what;s up with in the week!

well... when u shift it from reverse to drive... do u just shift while ur moving or do u come to a complete stop? cuz when i shift from reverse to drive (i sometimes just keep moving) it takes like a secone or 2 for it to catch.

It's good that you can laugh about cause it will make it that much easier to deal with. Good luck with the 3rd tranny!
