got new tires
I went a little too long without rotating and my front tires wore out too much. Left one was still kind of OK but the right one was almost gone. The car has 18,000 miles on the ODO.
The rears are still in a good shape.
So I got two Sumitomo HTR+ tires, for the front. The stock Michelins are a bit too much.
So far I think I like the Sumitomos. They have very good grip in dry or wet. However the car feels different when changing lanes (compared to how it felt when the stock Michelins were new) - the car seems to sway a bit now, compared to the Michelins - I just used to turn the steering wheel and I was there.
Also I have noticed that after I take a turn around the block and accelerate hard, the car goes straight but my steering wheel stays cocked in the direction of the turn for an extra second. I don't feel or hear any rubbing or squealing from the tires though. It just feels funny to be going straight with the steering wheel slightly turned.
I know all about torque steer and have experienced it with my previous cars. This one just feels a bit strange.
Do I have an alignment problem?

I had my friend get those tires on her mustang gt. She loves them and saved her a bunch of money over the firestones. Seems like a great tire for the money. Im going to check out Bridgestone S-03 or S-02 whatever fits.
Drive on the tires for a good 100 miles and if you still have a prob take it back in and tell them. They should fix it for free.

It was pooring really hard tonight during my commute home. Normal people usually pull over and wait it out in this type of downpoor. I kept on going. These Sumitomos felt very stable. I could only go 55-65mph, mostly because I could not see anything if I went faster.
