happened in the parkin lot of my school the back passenger side of the car clipped a bus bumper and it dented in the back door and scratched the shit out of the fukkin car the whole side is scratched up ill post pics up tonight but man im so fukkin pissed

actually you WANT to go thru insurance...by the sounds of it you're looking at $2000damages + easy. i'll judge on the pics. suppose your deductable is $500 and that insurance goes up by $200/semester for the next two years, your still saving a TON-a-MONEY.

From this description, it sounds like the back passenger side of the car was driving.

The only time your rates go up for an accident is when the accident was your fault.

Major bummer. I'd still report it to the insurance company. There's a lot of damage there.

I called my insurance on something like this before aswell, they told me the same thing "it doesn't go up unless it's your fault".

well im thinking about if i should go through the insurance but my parents said they will help fix the problem because the bus was parked and i was in motion and the bumper of the bus caught the car so i think it was my fault.....i went to maaco JUST to get a estimate dont worry no work being done there EVER they want 1723.00 to fix it they claim i need a new bumper new rear taill light and other shit that aint neccessary so i know a couple people that will help me fix it ill keep you guys updated

ur definitly going to have to go through insurance, unless u want a big hole in ur pocket.
just tell ur insurance it was hit and run in a parking lot, i think thats a no fault and ur insurance shouldnt go up. Unless there was a police report done?

Bus was parked and you were moving...unless the bus was parked illegally and blocking a lane, the bus is not at fault. Even if it was parked illegally, since you were moving...

REAL BAD ADVICE. If he claims hit and run, most, if not all, insurance companies would require a copy of a police report, at a minimum, a police incident number. Don't make a bad incident worse by filing a false insurance report.

i hit the bus because they drive like asses in my school so i cleared the bus and the kids were comin towards me so i had to move over and i looked in my mirror and didnt see shit so i came over and soon as i came over i heard a nothin but scraping.....the bumper was low and sticking out i cleared the bus it was just the bumper that i didnt see when i looked in the mirror........nah i know some people that will be able to throw me a good price its not really bad its just the paint that makes it look like that if you saw it in person you can see that its really just the paint that makes it look so bad

even if t was blocking a lane or illegally parked you can't drive into it and then blame them.. espically if noone is in the viechle..

You can technically park your car in the middle of the street and anyone that hits it is not paying attention to the road and it's their fault..you'd get an illgaly parking ticket and they would get the driving charges.... trust me, I know first hand.. my only traffic offence is rear ending some idiot that slammed his brakes on to stop for a yellow light.. Me and the cop had a depth discussion about this topic, it was my first ticket and the car was smashed, so I wanted to ask questions. The cop agreed with me about it not being my fault but he said "technically I should have been far enough away from the car in front of me to stop in a pannic situation".. he said it was B/S but it's the law, I had a choice of tickets, dangerous driving or following to closely... the following to closley ticket is much less (money and points) then a dangerous driving so the choice wasn't too hard..
