Red face Got beat badly by IS300

Was at a red light and a IS300 pulls up next to me. I must admit, those 17's look pretty nice. I couldn't see who was in the car cuz the tint on the car was so dark. He (or she) must have put the gear in Neutral cuz I heard REV, REV! The light turned green and we took off!
0-20 pretty even
20-40 IS300 was pulling (WTF)
by the time I hit 70 the IS300 was like 4 to 5 cars ahead! I was like damn!

Oh, did I mention that prior to all this. I woke up, went to Starbucks (got my usual cup of the morning), went to the dealer to get warranty work done so I dropped off my car, hoped into a loaner (4 door Integra LS), drove off the dealer lot, came to a red light, got next to a IS300, then we took off!

Had you guys going though, I bet
But I really did race the car and got beat in the Integra. In my TL, please...I would have, oh, let's see, eat him up, spit him out, then shit on him!

Very disappointing. It was a loaner car and no mention of you doing a 6000 RPM neutral-drop when you heard the guy revving. Sheesh... if you weren't gonna beat him you could have at least given him a show.

Acutally, I knew I was going to lose and I acutally thought about revving as well just to show him that "this Integra ain't scared of your IS300..."

Yeah and I can the IS300 go off to his hippie friends and say "Hey guys I beat a highly modded Integra Type R, might've even been Supercharged or Turbo'd" I pulled on him, like 5 cars!!!

Very funny. I had an auto Integra for a loaner, and man it really reminded me why I will never have another 4 cylinder again--boy is that engine rough.

Anyways, thankfully they are repairing my IMRC as we speak. I pulled dynos of a CLS with a bad IMRC and with a functioning one:
From 3800-5000rpm there is a gradual loss of torque up to a maximum loss of more than 35ft/lb at about 4700rpm!!!! At this same point the horsepower is down greater than 30 HP!!! This major loss of about 25ft/lb and 25HP (at least) continues all the way to redline!!! Holy Cow!! I'm definately in the 5's tonight!!

Man, I can't wait to feel how fast my car is when I pick it up tonight!!

Too bad it was an auto. Last time my car was in the shop I had a manual GSR. Gee I miss driving manual. I must admit though the subject line sure had me fooled!

JZ- I wouldn't knock all 4 cylinder cars, I'd still drive a 4 cyl car, just has to be a really FAST one...like my S2k! =)

I had driven both Intergra R and GSR.
I thought 25hp difference wont make much difference between them but, I was wrong.
For some reason when I drive R I feel the lightness of the car and handleing is so perfect except when I rev to 9000rpm the noise makes you feel crazy.
On the other hand GSR is fast too but the rigid manual shift and the weight makes it become so slow on pick up speed
comparetively to Type R. I dont know about the mod GSR but I think 4 cylinder engine Integra rank for the 2nd.
1st still goes for S2K.
