gloss clear coat on headlights???
ok, so here me out guys.
its super nice out right now here in new england so i washed my baby. i noticed that while there is water on the outer surface of my headlights, they shine and look crystal clear. when the water dries though, they return to dull.
now i've buffed and wet sanded plenty o times and after a month they return to dull. i really dont have the spare change right now for replacement set and was wondering if i could maybe achieve the same crystal look by taking them and spraying a layer of clear coat (spray can style) and maybe baking for a minute, since i'm planning to black out headlights and fogs sometime this month

What have ya got to lose ? Especially if they are past buffing and sealing.
Try epoxy or the best "clear" available !!!

yes, clear coat will work. I sprayed mine with a UV clear coat gloss by Tremclad. If you can safely bake it, it will last for many years.

after wetsanding or other abrasive cleaning you need to reseal the plastic lens
3 coats of synthetic car wax works great
buff and enjoy!,
