Getting new Tires

Ok I have a 99 TL and im sick of the stock Mich's. Ive read many topics on this stie about brand of tires and sizes. Here's my questions

1. Will a 225 55-R16 fit on the stock rim properly or are they two wide for the car?

2. Are Yokohama AVS ES-100 worth the $'s or should I stay with more of a standard touring tire like a Toyo TPT?

I would rather stay towards the drivabiltiy side then the quiet soft spongey ride.

I had 225/60/16 tires on the stock wheels and they fit fine. No rubbing issues, even with a H&R Sport drop. And your speedometer reading will be closer with 225/55 than the 225/60 tires I had.
Good luck

I enjoy the ride and handling from Falken Ziex's. They're great on wet roads/puddles, etc. They're also not overpriced like some tires out there. Toyo's aren't the best in the water from what I have heard.
