getting me a new tranny also

yea brought my car into my friends dads shop saturday thinking my axle was messed up. well he told me my tranny is gone and wouldnt even let me drive it home so its gonna be in the shop for 2 or 3 weeks. and i jsut got a dvd player in my car too only got to use it for a couple of days. i guess it gives me more time to dl music videos to watch on it.

why would your friends dad shop do the work when its a warranty issue? Also mine took one week to get in and they promise it back to me at the end of the day.

well because my car is salvaged and the warranty went out the door when that happened. so yea they wont touch my car anymore.

Ah, that explains it.....hope you got the car for a steal then it won't be so bad. Can I ask where you are getting the tranny from?

ummmm. im not exactly sure but i think hes gonna rebuild my tranny. ummmm i got the car in 2001 for 12000 with 44000 miles on it so wasnt too bad. and i wanted to swap in the 2000 tranny so i can have the 5 spd tranny instead of my freaking 4 speed tranny. oh well it better drive good when i get it bacc.

yes get a manual..
it doesnt matter if your a racer or not... manual doesnt have to do jack with being a racer. its just for the joy, the fun of shifting, and setting ur own ratios, shifting when uw ant to, and u conserve gas(i think) consider getting manual its really fun

nah its koo. no money to do the manual swap. you guys gotta factor in that i jsut bought a dvd player that cost me 1000 plus my old decc so yea. no money to do any manual swaps.

hmm... thats true... and also isnt it harder to do a manual swap on the 2gen tl's since the e-brake is on the bottom and stuff so u gotta customize a lot?

yea. for my cousins 95 accord he did a manual swap in his when he swapped in a prelude tranny and it cost alot. so yea its not even worth it.

well its not exactly my dad. its my friends dad that is working on the car. they have autobody shop but the work on engines and everything. they do engine swaps and stuff there too.
