Question Gasoline vapor smell in cabin on a full tank

Found this forum after doing some research on the web about my problem. Props to the creator, the mods and everyone else - nice site.

Here's my deal. I have a '99 3.2 TL pushing 90kmi + on the clock. It's a stocker that the wife and I commute in for over 70mi.+/day, so the milage is steep considering we bought it w/ only 14.9 on the clock and still owe 2.5 years worth of payments.

Everytime I fill up the tank, I get some pretty serious gasoline vapors/fumes in the cabin but no hint under the hood. Any thoughts? I'm finding that it disapates as the level of fule in the tank goes down and all but dissappears when the car is below a half tank.

Fuel filter/screen has been a suggestion from the shop but I still haven't done it just yet as I'm not convinced that this could be it and I'm not looking to drop any unnecessary scratch (ok - at this milage maybe it's just a good preventive maint idea, I know).

So, any legit idea's thoughts or similar experiences? Very eager to here that there's been similar cases and that my local shop & stealership are just in the dark.

Did you spill some on your hands? I don't know, but it sounds extremely dangerous and I'd take it to Acura after filling up..
