Gas treatment.

i've always wondered about those gas treatment products/fuel injector cleaners..stuff like that...they're pretty cheap like $4 or $5
i've tried it a couple times...but i dont really notice a big difference since i dont drive my car too hard.

i've used the octane booster the one time that my little brother filled my car with regular just as a precaution.
I do, however, use the fuel injector cleaner every time i get my oil changed.

Depends on the brand of cleaner and if the car needs it.
Some cleaners do help cars that have build-up from poor quality or contaminated gas. In my experience, Chevrons Techron or Redline's fuel injector cleaner is all I would use.
But to most of us who use quality gas and keep the car well maintained, IMO ya might not even need it...but I suppose it can't hurt.

I personally think that using Chevron Techroline every 15,000 miles helps. Techroline is the best additive, you really don't have to use them much. Depending on the car etc... if you run super unleaded, maybe once a year is good.

I have used them in the past, but no more. I think they are a waste of money, plus the fact that they might do damage. A well maintained car running 93 octane shouldn't need any additives.

An unscientific response, but...
If you find that you need to use aftermarket gas treatment, e.g., STP, one of two (or maybe both) things are going on--either you're getting a batch of bad gas, or your car needs a really good tune-up. If it's bad gas, you're better off spending a bit more money on getting your carbs or FI professionally cleaned; if your car needs a tune-up...well, the answer is obvious.
Like others have said, buying gas additives like STP is IMHO a waste of money, especially if you're thinking about dumping some into a well-maintained car, if not a late-model one. Just about all gas sold at major-branded gas stations have some kind of detergent additive in their fuel, so there really is no need to put stuff like STP into your gas tank.
Then again, STP may get you by if you have an old clunker and have to hold off on getting your carbs/FI cleaned or getting a tune-up--FWIW it is a cheap short-term solution...

Those brands include both the Chevron brand, and the STP complete brand (among others). Always check the strength of the mix (i.e. treats X gallons) to see if it's a good buy for the money (i.e. $/gallon of treatment).
I have used STP complete (silver bottle) ever since that article every 4-8k miles in every vehicle I've owned since then. In the 200k+ total miles on those vehicles I have NEVER had a fuel related problem. (I also change fuel filters every 30k.)
