I tried to take some picures with my BB and it was just a shot full of WDP. Couldn't see any overspray.

The company is bringing back the same thing from last year. They set up a tent and have people that wash your car with "chemicals" to get the paint off.

I will go watch them do someone else's car before they touch mine. If it looks safe enough, I might let them get it off. On the other hand, I can clay my entire car and know I didn't miss a spot.

I think I'll stick with option #2 and just do it myself. That way my entire car gets clayed and looks nice for the Summer.

So, what do you think guys? Let them do it, or do it myself?

This overspray is still on my car.

I talked to the school and their lawyer sent the track company's lawyer a letter. They have till May 20th to respond. This still makes me angry. They basically told me that its not the schools fault and that everyone's parents will have to go after the track company.

Of course the school's lawyer says its not the school's fault. That's his job. He'd be guilty of malpractice if he voluntarily admitted culpability of his client.

The school is accountable, the contractor is responsible.

NAIL THEIR ASS TO THE WALL! It is the school's fault. It is their responsibility to remind the students of events like this that are going to be occurring. At my high school when something like this would be going on they would remind us everyday for a week. When they tore down the an old building to build their new gym they had signs up and announcements twice a day. It is 100% the school's fault. It is also the company that sprayed's fault too because they knew what the outcome would of been since it was windy. How hard is it to call the students to their cars to have them moved? Seriously it may take 15-20 minutes but that is money that is kept kept in their pocket. Yea you would of lost some time out of class, but now you may have to go to court and that is more time lost from class. The company and the school should have to go 50-50 for all of the damage that was put on the cars.

Most polish compounds will take it off, along with paint thinner. It wont harm the paint. My friends black maxima was graffiti'ed with white and it sat in the sun for a week before he came home to it like that. He brought it over and within a hour i had it off for him.

same thing happened to me at my old company. the building next to us were painting their wall using spray!!! (white in color). because of the wind, it got all over our cars (15 in total). We complained and got the painter insurance to pay for the fix at the dealer. mine was not too bad but the bill came to $1,150 bucks!! just for me.

good luck

I need to invest in a new camera. Have a Sony, but we bought it like 3096u30496u2304 years ago and its only 3 megapixels? Its not any better than my phone.

Its called being responsible and having trust with your parents? I was always told if I stayed out of drugs, and wasn't a total screw-up then they would provide me with things I needed/sometimes wanted.

This is sort of off topic but might make you feel better...I witnessed a car get a rock dropped on it from a few hundred feet up since they failed to move it from the blasting zone (my college was blasting to build a new building) Long story short we walked up to it after it was safe and there was a hole right through her roof...anyways haha hope you figure this out and it all turns out good.

Well if the lawyer has till the 20th to respond, that's not enough time to set up a car-wash thing like they did last time. We get out of school on the 29th... That means I'm going to have to go all summer with this stuff on there.

If my car develops paint damage because I can't polish it and protect it like it should be because of this overspray, they will be repainting my entire car. :wanttowhoopatrackcompany'sass:
