Fuel pump change
I have a 2000 TL with 200k miles on it and I feel like I'm on borrowed time. It still has the original fuel pump. I know from past cars that a failed fuel pump is the most likely way to get stranded these days so I'm wondering if I should have it changed proactively or let it go. Maybe these last forever!
So, that's my question. Is the original so good that I shouldn't mess with it, or should I change it before it dies without warning?
BTW, original exhaust system, starter, alternator, but, ahem, certainly not the original transmission!

fuel pump failure is a rare thing on the TL
if worried get a pressure test done
run 1 can seafoam to just under half tank,,do that twice and the fuel filter sock and pump will be clean and lubed plus all the engine stuff seafoam is made to do
real tune up in a can!
get new spark plugs ngk iridium 8 bucks each. if you want the car to run right
adjust the valves- clean egr system and TB clean and service
all diy
