Fuel Injection Cleaner

Hey Guys,

What's the best thing to clean your fuel injection with? The car has been a little hesitant lately, and I heard this will help.

Thanks

If bg 44k is hard to find, try techron and use chevron gas.

Ive used both, and I would say for the money difference, the BG44 isnt worth it, though studies show it is good stuff. You can find it on Ebay BTW...but even if you buy multiple ones, its still more expensive than the Chevron w/ techron at your local store. I have had some rough idle a few times, and it is gone now after 1 tank of gas with the techron cleaner.

how about some other brands you can get off regular stores... like STP, prestone (sp?), etc., how well do those work?

I use both Chevron Techron and STP Complete Fuel System cleaner on every oil change since I fill up at Costco. They are not magic potions but good to prevent carbon buildups on valves, chambers, fuel injectors.
BTW, you can get a free 12 oz STP Complete Fuel System after $6.99 rebate until 11/16/05, try it, got nothing to lose.

Techron 4-pack at Costco for under $12.00. Best bang for the buck.

My friend swears by Mopar's fuel injector cleaner. I gave it a try once instead of my usual Techron, I didn't notice a difference (not that I expected to). I'd rather get the Techron at Wal-Mart when I buy my oil rather than have to trek to a Chrysler dealership.

The last time I checked at costco, they only sold chevron PRO-GUARD. What's the difference between a bottle of PRO-GUARD and a bottle of TECHRON?

Our shop sells that BG stuff. I haven't tried it on mine. I've used Lucas liquid tune-up or Chevron Techron. I guess it works ok; never had any hesitation problems though.
