Fu(ken Headlight

So 2 weeks ago I cleared my headlights and everything was fine til 4 days afterwards it started to fog up... So this past weekend I put a bead of auto silicone around the the outside of the headlight to hope to fix the problem. It was fine til today. Wake up and guess what I see condensation again... I'm so pissed. I was to remove all the old silicone and put new one.

Any suggestions on what kind of silicone I can use? Do you think aquarium silicone would work or with the sun heat would melt...

that sucks. buy a good silicon remover so you get all traces of the old before you re-silicon

The condensation is from the moisture that is already trapped in there. You need to open up the lights or at least vent them and set them out in the sun so they can dry out and all the humidity can evaporate. If you seal them even better it will just hold the moisture in better. Once they are all dried out reseal them and it should be fine.

Come on 2KSilverTL... I did. I opened all the bulb holes. They were open for about 3 hrs. When I put the bulbs back in there was no condensation.

Thanks for the info.. 2001TL4KCdude................

Check also the cap behind the HID and the other bulbs. Make sure the gasket of the cap is good and the bulbs are tight. Last time mine fogged up. I removed all the bulb sockets and re-installed, made sure they are tight. After that no more fogging

Well I'm not a mind reader, if you don't put it in your post that you opened it up and let it dry out, and your asking for suggestions on what can fix it expect to get replies like this.

Mines are stock, but I saw them fogged up a little once. Any clue?

A big no no

The best thing is to reuse the old silicone. There is nothing better out there. The trick is to no messed up the original silicone when you open them. If you make a clean opening, you can put it back like placing a sticker on a paper. I promise you, you will not have any problems and have a very professional look. Like they were never opened.
