Front End Conversion.......

Im thinking about converting the front end of my TL to the 02+ style over the winter. Has anyone done this conversion? I would expect you would need the following items:

02 Hood
02 Headlights
02 Fenders
02 Bumper
02 Bumper Cover
02 Grill

Im just wondering if I would have to do some custom type of brackets or if the fenders and bumpers would bolt in correctly. I have already priced the parts and it came to about $1200 in parts. Labor would probably be dependant on if custom brackets are needed or not. Anyone have any info about this conversion?

most of it should bolt up, it would just be the misc parts that are involved like the grill parts and washer fluid nozles are different than ours(99-00)

haha..you should of decided thta before you had your car painted ....anyway....if you plan on doing some heavy modding...which i would asumme since youve gotten the repaint and are willing to spend so much money on a conversion....your body style has more options thenthe newer one...like grills bodykits ect...an di like the way yours looks...i think the look of the older second gens wil hold their own as they age..just my .02

if you are gonna spend money on a conversion then just get the blaze body kit with forg lamps. You can go blaze front on the stock skirts and it will look bananas.

IMO, the Value Sport front bumper looks 100000000000x better than the 02+.:worship: And it will be cheaper too.

Im not doing this just for the bumper, I am doing it because of the whole front end as a whole. I love!!!! the headlights. Thats actually the reason I want to change the front end...

Actually, Blaze kit is just add-on spoiler, not complete bumper. So INSPIRE/SABER fogs will not work unless you buy INSPIRE/SABER bumper.

So the only option is VALUE SPORTS bumper.
