Front Brake Caliper Upgrade: Mounting Bracket

Hi,

I am shopping for parts for a two piston Legend brake upgrade and came across something that hasnt been covered . Some remanufactured calipers come with the mounting bracket whereas others do not.

Should i get the mounting bracket for the legend caliper or can i re-use my original TL one. Some ppl say the dimensions are roughly the same but i dont want to do any guess work while my brakes are off at the shop.

Any help here appreciated.
thanks

Also search posts from 01tl4tl, I think he has legend calipers on his tl too.

yep I am the guy with the caliper info
from kragen: the raybestos pro grade for 95 legend ls coupe with brackets
FRC10627 72.99 online price + 30 core
FRC19628 72.99
take the metal clips off the new brackets and swap over to TL brackets
USE TL pads TL rotors TL brackets TL brake lines
swap calipers Left for Right they have aq big letter on them to know
Expect air to get trapped in dual pistons- bleed all corners- redo- then go do 2 abs stops from 45, if pedal gets better 2nd stop- rebleed brakes
return old calipers with the stripped brackets and go about your day smiling

thanks Acutee, this was one of the threads which inspired the upgrade.

Thanks 01tl4tl... i ordered the calipers (remanufactured) from Westchester Acura of NY for $73 each sans core charge. I'm doing this mod at the same time im changing the bushings in the lower control arms and lateral arm, thus rebuilding the entire suspension with all oem parts. It has been the most satisfying car to refurbish back to its former glory. Any better, and the car would have AWD and a functioning parking break in the center console :)

If all goes well i may price out installing a G3 Rear sway bar as well just to further stabilize the rear end. I never envisioned enjoying my TL as much as I have now.

thanks again all
