Found squeaking noise!! now need help

I found where the squeaking noise was coming from, it was the seat belt buckle (female end). now i tried to take it off but the two screws inthere have a special pattern (they are star but has a small piece in the middle)

Anyways my question is... is this covered by warranty??? I think i am not the only one with this problem, i tried the dw40 but it does not seem to help. any thoughts???

Thanks

If you do a search for this you will find many users with the same issue and very creative solutions.

My experience with WD-40 is that it dries up quick. No good long term lube properties.
Something like silicone lubricant or something thicker will help.

My fix: I used lip balm. Yes. Lip balm. I bought one for .99 that has the plastic dome aplicator with a hole on top where the gel is released. Well, I just lined it up and squirted some down the latch support. Work it around using the seatbelt recepticle and It hasn't squeeked since! I did this about 7 months ago and it has even lasted the summer months.
Silly, but it worked!

I used the balm because It was winter time and had some in the car. It was a "WTF... give it a shot" move and tried it. It has been quiet ever since, even now that the summer is winding down and you know how hot the interior gets, especially here in FL.

Cheers!

Used some leftover gun lubricant (squeeze type) that looks like yellow lotion. Works fine now.....
