Foglight Sale...wanted to give you guys a heads up
Hey guys. Midnight moose is having a sale on their halogen and foglight bulbs. It's a haloween sale from oct. 31st to nov. 2nd. I heard that the Eaglite Foglight bulbs for our cars, the 9006 style are an almost identical match to our HID headlights, and during this period of 3 days, they're selling them for just 9.99/USD per pair. That's right, under 10 bux. You may as well stock up on them at this price. And these are as close as PIAA's are in matching the colour.

I have been thinking about upgrading the foglights to brighter/whiter bulbs. Just never really got serious about it. I was actually excited to hear this news, but the bulb is on backorder. Greeeaaaat..

I spoke to someone at Midnightmoose and they told me that all bulbs are in stock and ready for shipping..... You can order your bulbs from www.midnightmoose.com and enter in ATLHHD as the code and get a 10% discount..
We finally have our own code... YAY!!!!!!

yes, the one you would be interested is the Eaglite Super white bulbs. Yes they are the 9006's, but make sure you buy the 55w ones. 80's will completely mess up your system.

yah unfortunately. the problem is, with these bulbs, they tend to get very hot after a long period of use, especially with the 80w, and the housing around the fog lights will eventually deteriorate after it heats up too much, and will melt all over the housing, causing you to have to replace the whole fog light housing. The 80w bulbs will get about 35% hotter then a 55w one. In theory you could run the 80w bulb in there, but run a bigger risk of f*cking up your fogs.

What about the 9005 for the high beams, what wattage, the lower one? Don't use my high's that much anyway so maybe the 100 watts won't be too bad for the occasional flash.

yah when the sale is on, I'm probably gonna buy 2 or 3 sets. For 27 USD + Shipping the total will come to the same as my silverstar's, and trust me, those ones are freakin terrible. They're as yellow, if not more yellow then stock bulbs.

i hate yellow. put the stockers back in tonite (cuz 1 of the eaglite's went out) till i receive new ones and i hate em. or maybe i'm not used to it since i had my eaglite's for a year. can't wait for my replacements. when i looked at the bulb that went out, it looks ok. the filament is still intact. if a bit of moisture got into the base of the bulb (where the connector plugs into it), wouldn't you think it'd be ok again once the moisture dried out? man that bites.

Are you guys sure about the 55s vs. 80s ? I thought there was a thread about this a while ago. From what I recall, 80s were ok. Maybe shorter bulb life, but didn't cause probs with the houseing/wiring. Who tried 80s again ?

does midnightmoose have this sale every year? i don't recall seeing it last halloween.
the shipping cost still bites though. don't remember it being that much when i ordered way earlier this year. 2 sets of bulbs for $19.98 but the shipping is $13.50. sux to be in canada

heh i'm not surprised that they're sold out in the 1st day of the sale. lots of us here buying up the eaglite fogs as well as the countless other car forums out there. i can't tell you if the MAX fogs are any good. maybe someone here has used them before. but i'd probably still order the eaglites at that price and be patient while they get more stock. MM is usually pretty good at restocking their inventory.

The Maxs are better than Eaglights suppost to last longer with identicle light coloring. I just ordered 5 prs. 55w are my choice, cus ive played around w/all combos of higher watt and really like the 55w's ( along w/ the peace of mind of using the lower wattage)

I don't have Max 9006 bulbs but i had their arctic white and 921 Superwhite, I have to say I'm disappointed with both of them, They aren't really superwhite more supreyellow, Eaglite 1157 out performed the Max. So I like Eaglite over Max, however, they changed the price of Max 9006 bulb to $10 since they sold the Eaglite out.

Just saw this thread, does anybody know where else I can order these Eaglite 9006 55W Fog Lights??? Not really worried about a sale price or anything...got one fog light out right now....

These guys are idiots. Ordered 9005s (high beams) and they sent me 9006s. I'm sure as hell not shipping these back.
