FOG lights on 02 TL-S
are the headlights different than the foglights? Meaning the bulbs
Not by power of the light but by actually fitting. Can a bulb fit on headlight as well as the foglight?

Yes your headlights are HID and your fogs are Halogens and therefore have diffent specifications not only with electric but also with fitment.
Our stock headlights take D2R Bulbs, and our fog lights take standard 9006 Halogen Bubls. If you wanted to get HID's in your fog lights, they make HID bulbs that have a 9006 base, so this way the bubl will screwn in to its holder as a regular 9006 Halogen would.
HOpe this answers your question.

Well the thing is you dont want to go more than 55Watts cuz it will burn out your stock wiring in fog lights, cuz those are only meant to take 55W. They do sell 80 watts and 100 watt bulbs, but over long time they will burn the wires out as they are too thin.
I suggest staying with 55watts, if you want to go with higher wattage bulbs then just make one modification and that is supply current directly from the battery to the stock harness with a relay in between. This will prevent the wiring from getting burnt as the current is being drawn from the battery directly through the extra thick wiring you will provide opposed to the thin wires in your stock fog light setup.
Now as far as bulbs, if yow want the best match to your stock HID.. then go to www.midnightmoose.com and order a pair of the Eaglites 9006 bulbs. They come in varous wattage 55w and 80w i believe. Mnay people have these bulbs from this site and they are ver happy with them. You can't beat the price either.
Your other alternative is to go with PIAA bulbs but they are expensive. But the good thing about them is that they have a lifetime warranty on them. This is information that I found out at the last TL meet.
When replacing bubls with aftermarket bubls of such, they tend to blow out and burn out faster. If you want longevity then just go to your auto store and pick up a pair of sylvanias.

True You can use D2R, with some modification, but going the other route would be the easiest route.
If you want to bypass the wiring and draw current from the battery, PM or talk to Bxscig, cuz he's the one that came up with the idea and did it for me. He knows more on the electrical aspect of the car.
