Fog light replacement
My right fog light has a rock chip crack. Moisture is getting into the housing. I need to replace it, but I'm a little stymied on how to get to it. I know I need to come in from underneath. I can't figure out how to remove the access panel. There's a couple of plastic flanged screws the seem to be holding the panel in place. Do I just yank on the panel real hard to pop the screws loose? I'm hesitant for fear of breaking something. Thanks!

look in ur owner's manual :P
basically... there're little square cutouts directly under ur foglight housing on ur underbody lining meant for u to slip ur ratchet w/ extension in to unbolt a 10mm (if i remember correctly)...
after you take that out... just take a flathead to ur housing and it'll pop out
my 2 cents for free

Guys... the Fog Lights aren't covered under warranty, its considered wear and tear. Eventhough, Acura cheaped out and put glass on their Fog Lights rather than using Lexan, same material used on the headlights of our cars. Basically when a rock hits, there is no flexibility with glass like there is with Lexan and hence the cracking, chipping and what not.
Here are the two links you'll need to preform this mod. Its a two step process:
Step 1: Removal of Fog Lights from Bumper(click here)
Step 2: Removal and Replacement of Cracked Fog Glass(click here)
All I sell is the Lexan Lens Piece itself that is properly cut and shaped, which will require you to just do the mod without haveing to pickup any tools besides a 10mm ratchet to take the fogs out and a flat head screw driver. Many people have done the mod, just read the thread.
And for those who haven't had their fogs cracked, put some expel film over it immediately to protect it, much easier and cheaper. If its cracked already then you have no choice but to either get a new fog housing from Acura or do the Lexan replacement. Not to mention most of you's probably aren't even aware that your fogs are cracked.

Great post, NYDESI80! BTW, what's "excel film" and where can I get it? Also, I need to replace my entire pax side foglight housing...water got inside, damage. Dealer wants $208.95. Anyone got a lead on less expensive replacement? Thanks, r.s.

damnit, I wish I read this post earlier to protect my fogs. the pax side got a crack in it sometime between Christmas when I washed it and today when I used windex to clean it off.
so, if I replace the broken lens with the lexan, will it look like the glass on the other side so that I can at least "use up" the other side? oh, and where do I get the expel film to protect the good one?
this sucks...I was having such a great day with my car until I came across that.
