I was headed towards the freeway. As I was making a left onto the road leading to the on ramp I saw this black focus make an aggresive turn and came up on me. I was driving 10-15mph over the speed limit and he stayed stuck behind me. The freeway onramp is a wide right turn and then an uphill straightaway. As I made the turn I clicked the tranny into manaul mode and dropped it down to second and then hammered the gas. Usually when I've pulled this manuever in the past I leave cars far behind. When I looked back this guy was keeping up. He didn't pull on me but her certainly kept up. When I got to the freeway I leveled off at 75 and he eventually went by me. That's when I noticed that is was an SVT Focus. It appeared new as it did not have a licensce plate. I looked it up. They come with six speed manuals and 170hp but only weigh 2700lbs. Shouldn't I have smoked this guy. I've got an 00 with I/H. What kinds of mods do these have access too.

They make a ton of aftermarket parts for those cars. They even come from the factory with turbo upgrades. Don't sleep on those cars because of the name, but I always say it's not the car ITS THE DRIVER.

I agree it must be the driver, next time dont level off at 75, keep it punched!!!!

i would say they are faster than a civic Si hatchback, which almost on par with our TL
