fixed clock light in 15min

So, i thought it was gonna be a few hours for me to replace my clock light, but it took me about 30min. I could have done it in 15 if i were just gonna swap out the bulb but I put in an LED instead which took me 15 minutes to fit and solder. Only problem is i think i may have put the filter backwards because my clock in now indego blue. I'll try reversing the filter to see if i can get the orginal color.

Basicallly for a 2003 non nav, you just remove the dash part around the insturment panel. Then you can just swap out the bulb. Its easy to remove the clock take then it apart if u want to go the LED route.

aw man ... i just removed the LED ... turns out there is only one way the filter fits in. The filter is blue and the LED was white ... so it looked like indeglow gagues. but since i dont have ideglow gauges and it did not match the rest of my dash, I removed the LED and put in a stock bulb.

The clock and ac controls are accessable by removing the dash trim around your gaugues. just remove the 2 screws right above the gauges and give it a few small tugs to unclip it. Then unplug the wires and the clock and ac controls are screwd into the back of that.

If you need to get access to your radio, then you have to remove the wood trim around the center console, then the center console itself, then the dash part under ur steering wheel, then the side covers on each side of the radio, then a few screws for the radio.

instructions here

I know this thread is kind of old, but what type of bulb does the clock light need? I was looking to replace the one in my CL as well.

It will just be easier if you just bought the light from acura. Its a "special" part that you can't buy else where except for maybe honda. The bulb comes with a socket that twists into the circuit board for the clock.
