First Road Trip in TL-S

Took my first road trip to Austin from Dallas this past weekend. The car has less that 2k miles on it, and it was my first real highway miles yet.

Couple of thoughts. Generally very quiet, well mannered and responsive on the road. Never needed more power to make a move. Driver fatigue wasn't a real issue, though I think there could be better lateral and lumbar support in the seats. It's only a 3 hour drive, and I had a little back strain at the end of the day.

Drove down in the rain, really like the wiper controls. Only better ones out there are the speed sensor option on the M3 I had.

Only one thing drives me crazy. The damn attenuation detents on the volume. Spacing is TOO big. Can't get the right volume when you want it.

Overall, it was a great ride. Ready for the next one!

keep the road trips coming, this car makes for great road trips. I never had a problem w/ the volume, but the latteral support does suck. My gripe is the loud wind noise if you crack the sunroof or the windows, but I guess you can't have it all for a $30K sedan.

My only complaint with this car is the seats, they suck. I just can't find the right position. I have TL-P. I bought a back device from the better back store a year ago but I recently placed it on my backseat head rest because it seems the headrest was too far back but with this thing it's much better and adds a little more comfort to the driving experience.

Yeah, I took a road trip on Sunday from Houston to Austin and the lumbar support isn't the greatest. The ride was smooth as can be with an endless amount of power. However, over certain pavements, the tire noise is extremely loud on the 17 inch rims.

Small price to pay for such a kick @ss car. Also, I thought that there was a bit of wind noise above 65 mph, but it's still tolerable.
