First destination problem I've had with the Navi

I was on the road and forgot I needed to go by Just For Feet(shoe store). I didn't know where the nearest one was so I punched it into the Navigation System. Bam, 2.8 miles away. Awesome! Well I got there...but the shoe store wasn't there. Dang! Apparently the moved a while back, and my Navi had no way of knowing. Do all Navigation systems encounter this or is it just our DVD setup? Oh well. I guess I need to think aout updating my version I guess.

Ive had a similar problem with mine. I wanted to go to Marie Calendars and couldnt remember how to get there. Aparently, it didnt register this one because it wasnt on a street or "digitized" portion of the map. Kinda sucked but i still managed to find it anyways.

Anybody Running Nav Version 2.05?

I was wondering if anyone is running the NAV DVD vol 2.05

I am very anxious to get Maine points on the DVD since I travel up there a lot.

I am running 2.04 and I can't get specific points of interest, only to towns and intersections of large roads.

The address database is only as good and/or as up to date as the source from which it was obtained from; this would be true on any navi system. As consumers, we have no control over how up to date a database is when a vendor (in this case Acura) decides to use it. For all we know they may have chosen to go with what was available at the time, whether it contained data valid as of 2001 or 1999.

New areas for 2.05 from 2.04

I called up Acura and no Maine points yet

I tried to jot down the names as quick as he was saying, may have missed a few, but here goes:

(there were multiple counties in these states that have added detailed maps)

Arizona, California, Florida, Iowa, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Michigan, Boston (essex county) Massachussetts, Nevada, New Jersey (northern), Cleveland, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Philedelphia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia Beach, Seattle, Washington DC, Wisconsin

It is going to happen to every navi update you get because businesses/buildings/roads, etc.... will come and go.
