Finished Debadging

Well it wasnt on a TL, but a Yukon. It was a little harder than expected. I used a hair dryer and some floss to start off with. It took about 10 minutes to get it off. Considering some of the badges are 2x the size of the 3.2 TL one. Then I used some WD-40 and Meguiars Bug and Tar Remover to get the rest of the of the sticky stuff off. That took a little while. Then I used a Clay Magic's claybar to get the rest of. Let me tell you the claybar was the greatest invention for auto detailing, it worked wonders on this. Then used some scratch-x just incase I scrached anything taking it off. Went over with some Zaino. Looks great, cant see of feel where the badge was. I think my main problem was I didnt heat the badges long enough and I was pulling the floss towards me while making the sawing motion instead of holding it against the body of the car to get more of the sticky stuff off.

i took off the 3.2 TL Type-S badge on my car yesterday and it was soooo easy... all i did is get a knife and pull the badges with my nail forward a bit and carfeully cut the sticky stuff. it was really easy and no scratches. to get the rest of the sticky stuff off i rubbed it with my finger tips. looks nice and clean and no sign of anything being there. my index finger hurts like a mofo though... i think i rubbed it with that finger tooo much.

hahaha...never rub that sh*t with your finger...it burns like a b*tch after a while

use some lighter fluid on a paper towel, it eats right through the glue. just make sure you wipe it off with water right after, dont let the lighter fluid sit on the paint.
