Finished break-in and mileage is getting better and better.

The harder I drive the car, the better the mileage gets. I went from 16mpg during the first 500 miles to 20 mpg at 1200 miles, and I'm driving the car pretty hard now.

Anybody else notice this, because I've never seen any of you mention a similar experience.

I had the same experience and I know of a lot of other members who would probably report the same...

16mpg in the first 500 miles??? Shouln't you be breaking the car in at least a little?

Even when I drive hard I've been getting over 20mpg

I'm not sure what I said to make you think I didn't break the car in. I drove very easy for 600 miles, never really taking it over 4,000 rpms. After 600 I started working the engine a little harder and noticed a slight improvement in mileage. Now, at 1200 miles I'm really seeing what this car is made of, and I'm getting increasingly better mileage with each fill up. I hope that makes more sense!

I'm just very relieved to be getting better mileage!

I've got almost 6K miles now and I have been driving harder, using the A/C more. I just filled it at the 330 mile mark and it took 14 gallons = 23.5 MPG!!!!
:) :D

Yes, the mileage has definitely improved. After I broke it in, I was getting around 17 and was driving it hard. I got tired of getting such crappy mileage, so I started taking it easier and was getting around 20-21.

Now I have 5k miles and I have started driving it much harder, and I still get around 20.
