Nice! Yeah, definitely paint them with a good quality paint. I have A LOT more rust on my rear re-man'd calipers than the front original ones. Wish I had known this when I was installing mine...

Yes they are two piston calipers instead of 1 piston calipers so you get more contact with the pad. Now I haven't personally had them on my car yet but from what I read everybody that did it like them much better and I figured I would try it since I got both remanufactured for 100$ including shipping and core charge.

Thanks for the heads up that's part of the reason why I decide to do mine and figured I would why I was already there

1995 Legend LS- C (coupe) are the ones you want,,there are several choices, but these are for us

also suggest SS braided brake lines ~$100-125- they dont flex/expand under pressure like stock rubber ones do (which reduces actual line pressure to caliper)
Improves brake feel and action--a must for the agressive driver/braker

tip on install: prefill the caliers with new DOT4 fluid as much as possible- I use an oil squirt can
Getting most of the air out now will save you an hour in bleeding later

SPECIAL INFO: the TL bleed order is- driver front then clockwise around the car
LF RF RR LR,,,not like normal cars

and when you have opened the lines to swap calipers you MUST do the 2 abs active stops from 45mph to purge air from abs controller--then rebleed system
It gets in there and hides!!

Thanks I got the ones you recommended to other members ( FRC10627 & FRC10628). The thread I posted above I read 3 or 4 times to make sure I get the right ones and do it right. I may try the brake lines later.

Shoot if it was for me coincidentally coming across that thread i would have never even considered doing it. I even came across where you repainted them looking for more information, what exactly did you paint them with the second time and do they still look about the same after age and wear?

Hi!
Yes the paint is still holding up, The caliper is just dusty from the Yellow Stuffs but nothing a good cleaning wont do...

I used Duplicolor "High Heat Paint" (In Black Glossy)! thats the 1200°F Can Dont use the "Caliper Paint" it will flake in about a month or two, Do a very light coat with the High Heat Paint just enough to barelly see the original Gunmetal Color then use your oven @125-150°F (Or like I did use a Heat Gun) let it sit for about 15 minutes and do another Coat and So On until your satisfied. That pretty much bulletproofs the paint...

The Caliper Duplicolor doesnt need to be baked but it wont hold up I tried like 2 or 3 times before switching to the High Heat.
The High Heat Paint needs to be baked to be completely Dry for the Next Coat if you Dont bake it, It might fall apart once dry.

Once your there do your Rotors Too with the Same Paint!! They look awesome with the Hub Lining painted:

Thats an EBC 3GD Rotor vs the OEM.

All:

This is the Goodridge SS set for the TL:

Hope it Helps!

Good deal. I'm mostly trying to improve my breaking distance and stopping power and get rid of these crappy warped rotors I have now

Sadly I think the 2-Piston wont make you have a better Stopping Power.. In my case I was impressed with the stopping power Thinking "Hey I installed the 2 pot Caliper = Awesome" but nah! I bought for the First time the EBC Yellow Stuffs and thats EBC strongest compound when they were done for I switched back to the Red Stuff to find out that the Brake Pads where doing the Magic...

What I did feel is Improved Pedal Response, Thats how much you need to press before Feeling the Pad Starting to Touch the Rotor. With the 1 Piston this was Nowhere to be found, You where Stopping Hard or Doing Nothing! But not with the 2 Pot Caliper thats pretty much the Bonus!

I am so glad I waited this long, or I would have ordered one piston 2G-TL calipers. Now I know what to order instead .

Yeah I'm glad I finally decided to get them. Also just the extra contact with the pad is better in some way with the two piston calipers. Beside for new rotors, pads, and front 2 piston calipers for just under 250$, it was are ally good deal and I figured it could not be any worse then what I already had

They are bit more Expensive now but I bought them from Amazon.com for more/less than 80 bucks shipped at the time It was funny since one of my Cores refunded me the price of 1 Legend Caliper at Autozone, Never did it Tough I dunno why I keep all my old Stuff...

Both of them will run you now 113 bucks...
Amazon Amazon
The 2 Calipers are listed there.

You could check in you Nearest Auto-parts store for Prices but I think Amazon is the Cheapest.

I actually got it from davesdiscountautoparts.com, part numbers FRC10627 &FRC10628 they were out of stock in one of them so they shipped it directly from the manufacture to me (about 1 week). the price was like $99.64 including shipping and core charge which i figured was a pretty good deal after looking every where else for them.

Hey so I just picked up a pair of RL calipers and am thinking of going with the EBC 3GD as you have with RedStuff pads.

I am currently on stock calipers with USR slotted and Redstuff pads and the fronts warped quickly.

Have you had a chance to use the 3GD rotors yet? How do you like them with the red stuff? Did you "break/bed" them in?

I havent warped mine keep in mind thats with the Most grippy EBC Yellow Stuffs for over a good 8000K I Replaced the Yellows with Red Stuffs a couple of months ago but the Rotors are Still Fine. The Bed In procedure was Followed for over 500 miles like EBC says.

I Replaced the Yellow Stuffs with the Reds and Lost a bit of Bite but they hold up pretty well once Heated (Repeated Braking, No Fade).

Those pics are quite old I must say, I have more than 2 years with that Setup (3GD + Yellow S) with no Warps at All...
