Filter head

My filter on my short ram is starting to loose it's redness and I probably have around 600 miles on it and when should I get a filter recharger for it? Also how many times can I use to recharger before I have to get a new filter?

The filter is supposed to lose some color after some mileage. The trapped dirt actually assists in filtration.
As for cleaning, it all depends on driving conditions. If you drive often in a major city and dirty roads, I'd recommend a cleaning between 5k-7k miles. Otherwise 10k should be ok. If the filter is from K&N, it should last you longer than the car. Get the K&N filter recharger kit. Should be $10-15 at your local auto parts store.

K&N filters claim to last 1 million miles if you care for them properly. Like cl-driver said, go pick up a recharger kit, you should be good to go.
