Fender trim...anyone have it?

Has anyone installed fender trim? I'm not talking about fenderwell trim, but fender trim, you know like the kind that usually comes in chrome, and I have also seen companies sell it in gold and black.

Would love to see some pics if you have installed it.

Chrome fender trim brings back memories. It was big in the early ninties. I never see it anymore.

scrape

Yeah I normally would not consider it, but I bought a car on Ebay that had a scrape on the fender. Thought it might be cheaper to just cover it up than get it repaired.

Okay Okay! I won't! I promise!

I'm just frustrated...I bought my 03 TL on Ebay and the seller didn't disclose dents and understated other paint defects. He's only offering $500 to make this right (estimate from local body shop was $1600) so I'm looking for creative ways to reduce the cost. I'll be opening new threads soon on this subject. Will probably be posting in the black market for a new front bumper and left fender...

Thank for your help guys...btw here's pics of my new ride...we could play a little game of "find the dents" j/k

post pics of the dents a scratches on wash & wax and exceldetail and others can help you get the problems fixed cheaply and the right way. 1600.00 from a body shop is overkill I'm sure. dentwizard can take out your dents they are a PDR(paintless dent repair) and a very good value. there are so many products out there to take out scratches and make your paint look brand new. Also get chrome emblems, the gold emblems are kinda gay.

Well.. i had some black fender trim on mine. Came that way from the dealer. I removed it a couple of weeks ago with dental floss and a heat gun.

But here's what it looks like with black fender trim. Ugly eh?

EDIT: LOL, yeah mine was fender well trim. Sorry didn't read the first post carefully. But still any fender trim on the TL is oogly.

Visited DentWizard already, pretty unimpressed. Two of the dents they said they couldn't do anything with, the main one on the left front fender they said they wanted $200 for and could only get it to 85% repaired. The only one they said they could completely repair was the least noticeable one. And they wanted $149 for that.

The "scratches" that the seller disclosed were not actually scratches, they were major chips in the paint that some idiot slathered touch up paint all over. They look horrible.

The $1600 quote was for a lot more than just fixing the dents.
