Hello fellow AZiners,

I have a buddy that does custom body work.

I was wondering how many of you would be interested in a Mugen styled lip spoiler. Sort of a replica just without the badge part.

Price would be a rough estimate of $250-$300. I'm not sure yet, I'll update to see what my bodyman thinks.



If I get enough interest. I will be talking to the mods about becoming a vendor on here.

If 15+ are really enthusiastic about purchasing a spoiler, the spoiler itself would be alot cheaper.

If there was any way to make this more like a CSL spoiler and less like a Mugen one I'd be interested. I want something that goes further down on the trunk lid, or requires you to move the "A" up.

Also, if we can somehow ingrate an "A" where the Mugen badge goes, will be nice. Or something along those lines.. Leaving it blank looks nice, but I'm just saying.

Well I'll see what I can do.

It will be mostly similar to the mugen but the back of it will be smooth and not exact mold. (I don't want to get sued)

No badging on the back. So you could put what you like back there.

I can see if I can make a specific one for people who are interested in a different style but I highly doubt it.

The more interest, the more likely the spoilers will be made.

This is just a feeler for right now. No spoilers have been made yet.

I have the authentic Mugen spoiler that my bodyman will be basing this particular spoiler off of.

Kris (fsttyms1) has made the A-spec style spoiler for his car. So no doubt this is possible.

I know everyone will have second thoughts. I will have a prototype coming soon. I just need enough interest to see if it's worth going through the trouble.

I don't like the idea it takes away from the exclusiveness of the mugen spoiler and the people that can afford a real one, I don't want to see every TL with the spoiler. I know that it would be nice for people who can't afford one, but I like the rarity of the spoiler right now.

How does he plan on making it and out of what? If this were to be done properly it should be done with plastic and not fiberglass. You need to find someone(company) that makes molds and can reproduce with plastic. (body shops cant)

and as long as you dont market it as a mugen you shouldnt have too much trouble. ebay people make replicas all the time, and the only time that i've seen anyone take action was TEIN against the fakers who claimed it was tein springs

.... i would kill to have a mugen spoiler, but im only 19 go to school and work part time so i dont exactly have money fallin out of my pockets.... i think its a great idea and can't wait to see if it turns out alright....

well I bought one for 1000. Even AZiners say its just a wing.

I'm not duplicating the exact spoiler. Itll share the same characteristics but will not be a mugen.

Not everyone wants a m3 lip spoiler and not everyone would pay the full amount for a used rare piece.

Trust me i understand what u mean about rarity vs knockoffs. Thats why this design will be a little different from the real deal.

when u said that your going to change the design what actually are u changing (height, length?) i already know that ur not gonna put the mugen logo on the spoiler.
