I can tell you exactly what the difference is. A while back when Comptech made their B Pipe they sold it for the TLP and TLS well I was the first to get it and when I went to install it I was really disappointed. The tree bolts coming out from our (smaller diameter) cat were further apart than the TLP was. SO the type s cat is a larger diameter on the opening and the bolt line up. It isnt much, IF I could have drilled an oval opening on the flange from the B pipe I probable could have made it fit but thats not what a specific made part should be like so I had to hold it for two years before I could sell it finally. Anyway they are a little different there and also the spread(length) at the end where it connects to each muffler.

I would say the loudness is about the same. The sound is little different but both are nice sound. Maybe ATLP is a little deeper tone than WSII, but maybe I'm wrong since I listen ATLP exhaust from standing outside of the car and I only hear WSII exhaust note from inside my car.
