Would it be possible to design some silencer tips like the Comptech quiet tips to go with this exhaust? I don't mind a loud exhaust, but for example, my parents hate the loudness so I put in my quiet tips whenever we get together.

LOL I knew I was gonna get some shit for that comment. But I'm sure some of my fellow brown or other Asian people know where I'm coming from. I just don't want to hear them complain, that's it.

These do sound great, but like you said I love my WS2s. This exhaust is a great product and like I said the sound is very very good, but eventually when the price comes in at ~$1000 for a complete cat-back, like comptech cat-back, I just can't see spending that on exhaust that won't do much of anything for performance, I would rather put that money towards some new wheels, IMO.

I am not trying to down play the exhaust, the 3rg gens sound great with this exahust, just my personal preference.

the price cant be that high man, honestly. think about your audience in the 2nd gen section. its a different demographic than the 3rd gen.

The power that you get out of any cat back exhaust: Comptech, Apexi WS1 or 2, tanabe, GReddy, Magnaflow has all come back to be a couple horsepower here and there (some people say ~5whp) on the 2nd gen TL-S, exhaust is more for sound on our cars. Now I would be impressed if somehow he is able to get greater than 10 whp CONSISTENTLY. Not saying it can't be done, but it would be something that no other large performance company has been able to do WITHOUT removing or modifying the cat.

Would I buy it if it was able to produce more than 10 whp on a N/A 2nd gen TL???? If my WS2's go to sh*t and the price is around $700, I will think about it, but I only paid ~$500 for my WS2.

Why not?? Comptech charges a little over $1000 for a full stainless catback and many people bought it. If this system is a full stainless cat back I would imagine it would be in the $850 - $1000 range. I could be wrong, I am just basing it off prices of comparable cat back systems.

basically the demographic has changed significantly here in the last 2yrs, the new group of ppl wont spend shit, the old group was willing to fork money out for parts, many of them moved on to the 3g.. no way this exhaust is going to sell if they are 700+

^^exactly. its not that we dont want to spend the dough. tis that we CANT, as age goes down, so does money (not always true) but we need to see results and value. gen y is big on price/value ratio. so lets get some details!

Yeah it has changed, seems weird that I am one of those old timers that would dish out good money for parts. I love the 3rd gens, have driven many, but I love my 2nd gen too much to get rid of it!!!!!

I guess what I am trying to get across is for a full cat back stainless steel exahust like the ATLP exahust for the 3rd gen, or the RDX, you are going to have to pay, there is no way around it. So if you want prices kept down this exhaust will have to be mild steel piping and stainless mufflers similar to Apexi WS2.

......and again as with other cat-backs, unless he figures out something nobody else has, there will be no significant hp gains out of this, its purely for sound.

The primary 'results and value' of every exhaust system is sound. If you're looking for hp, there are much less expensive ways to get it.

exact same thinking that my dad makes. Whenever im driving with him and he hears some kind of loud exhaust he thinks there is a hole in their muffler, and tell the dude to fix his cheap exhaust.
