Im in, but please make sure the tips sit flush witht he rear of the car with, and possibly without a lip. id also like a wider diameter piping than 2.5" and a nice looking Y pipe or a true dual

hey phee, i'd knew you be on the list after seeing your post on the RDX ATLP thread... anyways, if we went any bigger than a 2.5" interdiameter.. we would lose power. the 3rd Gen stayed 2.5" ID to a 2.25" ID in the Y and gained about 7whp (can't remember)
a true dual setup would require more money and probably lose a lot of people when we get a final price for a true dual setup.
as for it sitting flush with the rear, we will try with my car with the rear lip and without and take pictures for your (A-ZINE'S) pleasure.

if anybody wants to donate a OEM rear lip. then that'd be great. only for testing purposes that is.

That's not possible unless he makes two separate versions of muffler, one for rear lip and one for without. Assuming he will be making them to order, I suppose it won't be too hard to order some of both based on customer requests.

You can use my car with OEM rear lip to test and dyno to compare power gain between Apexi WS2 and this ATLP Catback Exhaust

I'm not sure if I'm mistaken, but isn't the Apexi WS2 strikingly similar to this tip?

burned titanium tips would look cool. like how the 2nd gen RL has it with their aftermarket exhaust but im feeling that it would only look great on white cars to show that contrast..

don't kno how it'll look on a black car.

I agree.
I would also be interested in a HFC option.
I'm in, for the right price.
In the picture you posted of the 3rd Gen ATLP exhaust, it doesn't look like the rear of the muffler (where the tips are weleded onto) is polished. I think it should be fully polished all the way around.

well..he can make them adjustable no? doesnt seem like it would be too hard to make the hangers for the mufflers have two slots where a bolt slides in.. one for lip and one without lip..

i like the burnt titanium look but if the tips arent rolled it may look a bit ricey i really like how the 3rd gen looks, except without the dual. but i REALLY LOVE the idea of nice FAT tips if we arent going to have that wide diameter piping... im all for MORE POWER.

will this decrease torque? i hate the fact that my car really bogs down between 1.5-3k RPM

shouldn't loose torque..

you can buy adjustable hangers at autzone or your local parts store.

well. we'll see. we need more ideas. what YOU guys like. i jus like a nice simple polished and the look of the 3rd Gen tips. especially the inside. those look hot.

I don't see how just having an additional "slot" would fix the problem. You need to physically increase the length of the exhaust, you can't just use the hangers to "pull" the exhaust out towards the back of the car. It will but a lot of strain on the whole exhaust system. Unless I'm misunderstanding what you are saying?

i think he means so it doesn't hang low making it look like theres a huge gap between the tip and the rear bumper (without lip) compared to some with a rear lip.

If it's the muffler height that he is talking about, then yes adjustable hangers would work. However I think he is talking about how far out the tip of the muffler goes. For example, my Comptechs sat flush with my rear bumper before I had my kit, but with the kit the tips look like they sit inside too much.

I have too much back pressure now with my CT headers, ULEV TL-P cat and supercharger so I definately want more flow. Currently I have Mugens which are noiseless. I cant say I like drone LOL but as long as they arent super loud but get me more horses Id be happy. I was going to have a custom cat back exhaust made.

Umm I know you guys are gonna make fun of me but as long as I get my question answered, what is an ATLP exhaust exactly. What makes it different from anyother one.
