i drive 60 on the right lane now, once u get hit with a few speeding, reckless, endangerment tickets u will also learn your lesson. the pay off in the end is not good and not worth it to me anymore . plus i be getting 27+ mpg . i keep it on the track now

i usually only do about 5 over also unless there is a lot of people going faster, people out on our highways are stupid when its 55 they will do 70 but once it gets to 65 they hardly do the limit, thats when i gotta speed up for a min lol. they do the same thing in consruction zones, they will fly through the fines double zone, then go only like 2 over when the speed goes back up.

Years ago when I was a dumb kid with an 86 Honda Accord DX (auto) I did 123 MPH on the highway. Didn't take as long as I thought it would.

In my 2000 TL (channeling my dumb kid days ) I got up to 120 but I caught up to traffic. I've only done that once though.

I had a 1996 MX-6 V6 as well. Those cars were great. I did 205 km/h and it could easily do 5 - 10 km/h more.

hrm, when i was really dumb teenager. i would constantly push my '94 accord lx up to 140. (i would drive to chattanooga from nashville(usually a 2+hr drive) in about 1hr.)

as far as my 03 TL goes, i've hit about 105-110. i get scared to even go that fast anymore. especially b/c i blew $20k on my car this time

Just got one...Let me tell you it blows the TL out of the water in terms of speed and handling. It's so planted around corners and the 4 wheel steering helps sooooo much.

Anyways, I have a 5-6 mile flat paved stretch back road which I use to drive to places (outta the way, but you get hella fast) I got the TL (bone stock, '00 TL-P) to about 135ish before my balls dropped and I pulled back. and the other day I took my new VR-4 out on it and put down 157/158ish before I quickly saw the big turn at the end...didn't wanna try out the 4-wheel steering like that just yet!

Lets see on my 2001 TL-P I hit 101ish, the car doesn't have wheel balance or alignment, so it basically almost fell apart lmfao.

4 days ago I was driving home with a friend from Cedar Point here in Ohio, some biker got cocky so I floored it on my sisters 06' c280 Benz, I got up to 110mph before it sort of started to feel like it was dieing, so I let off plus traffic was picking up.

Fastest car I've ever been in (not driving) was with my brother on his 03' C5 Zo6, he pulled it up to 170mph before he had to let off do to heavy patch of traffic.

Got my 94 Accord to 135+ pretty quickly. But its got VAFC, intake, exhaust, header, cat, cam gear, fpr, pulley, MSD goodies, and full suspension. Was very smooth at those speeds.

My stock 03 TL-S has only been 110+ cuz I had to show a riced out lude that he wasnt shit.

Rofl nice man, I showed one too going up a hill at night, the lude was 5speed so at first it did pretty good at 70 I already had 3 car lengths, not to shabby for a TL-P.

Just to clarify this, I have taken my 2000 Acura 3.2TL to the limiter. Yes, there is a limiter. It kicks in at an indicated 250-252kmh (155mph) or 240kmh (149mph) as indicated by gps (right at the stock tire speed rating). Speedometers always exagerrate speed @ higher velocities. It was in 4th gear @ around 5700-5800ish Id say. The limiter is an actual speed limiter and not the rev limiter because there were plenty more revs to go.

One more thing, these cars CANNOT go over a true speed of 240kmh (again speedometer speed is inaccurate)

135 in my 99 tl-p when it was completely stock. Also there was lots of luggage in the back, two people in the car, and the ac was on. It was on a really long stretch of highway at 3:30 am so I was the only car for miles. Now with my CAI, no a/c on, and no luggage I could probly go 140, but im definately not going to try anytime soon.

97 jeep cherokee (brothers) lifted 4" with 32's got up to 105 going on a slight downhill then governer kicked in and killed the fun
03 tl-s just got to two weeks ago, already to 105 then came up to traffic so had to slow down to 60

Before I got my own car, I used to drive my mom's minivan around. We had two: a '94 Nissan Quest GXE and a '99 Toyota Sienna CE. I've topped out both of those cars on the 60 freeway going East towards Riverside.

'94 Nissan Quest GXE (3.0L V6 151HP) - Maxed out @ 105. The result was not great. Melted a piston.

'99 Toyota Sienna CE (3.0L V6 190HP) - Maxed out @ 110. The motor/engine had a faint, burnt smell after. Engine was overheating.

--

When I got my '03 TL-S, I was chasing my friend in his '99 Honda Accord V6 Coupe on the 210 Freeway heading East. I was doing 125 and I could've gone faster but my friend suddenly merged out to another lane to try and avoid the car in front of him. Right when he merged out.. I was approaching the car in front of me a fast rate of speed, so I quickly merged out and slammed the brakes. The brakes failed, ABS didn't kick in yet. That was the scariest moment in my life. I'm glad I have great control over the car.

love to know how you did that... both accords ive driven with H22A motors in them could barely achieve this....

and thats whit a LONG stretch...

souns like you just drove an f22b possibly 5spd.. but still.. that engine isnt toping out at 140... poor thing would sound like it was gonna explode at 125 before i swapped in the h22

I live really far from Riverside (about a 40-50 minute drive) from where I live. Whenever I go there to pick up my sister from UCR, I decide to mess around, switch lanes, weave in and out of traffic for fun. And there was a truck that cut me off.. so I chased after it and I could only do 105 and he was doing way more than that in his truck. After I slowed down, I hear a loud ticking/clicking like sound from the engine bay. It was real bad. I guess I really put alot of stress on the engine.
