Farewell 2nd gen Family! It's been a great year.
Well another one bites the dust guys.. after 242k miles on the original tranny it was time. About a month ago, I had a feeling that my car was going to die soon. So for that time, I was thoroughly searching. I REALLY REALLY wanted to get a 3G TL but it's not really something a 19 year old student w/ a part time job can afford.
A day before I picked my new car up, my transmission shuttered BAD and set off TCS/CEL lights. Going from an 02 to an 06.. and going from 242k to 95k on my odometer, it feels good. I'm also SUPER stoked about the great gas mileage i'm getting. With my current payments, and w/ all the money i'll be saving from gas prices I'm only spending an extra 50 bucks a month
My TL was my first car, taught me how to drive, carried me through high school, and has so many more memories to it and I'll always miss it. But overall, I'm INCREDIBLY happy w/ this purchase. I'll still peep through on azine but I'll also be spending more time on 8th gen.
My new ride? 2006 Honda Civic EX w/ 5sp MT. 95k miles. Here's a picture of the 2 side by side.
