FAmous problem with Roters and what the dealer did

I took my 03 tls this morning to the dealer due to the roters being warped, you know the famous shaking of the steering wheel while breaking, and what the dealer did was resurface the rotors. Yes I know they just took some life from my rotors but is this the standard or are they supposed to replace the rotors due to a TSB? According to the assistant service manager, he said the rotors where not that bad, that is why they did this. Any help appreciated since I will shortly be picking up my car. Thanks again

I seem to recall that the TSB specified that the dealer was to resurface the rotor unless doing so would decrease the thickness such that it would be out of spec, in which case they'd be replaced.

I had the rotors of my '00 resurfaced at about 14,000 miles (under warranty), but the dealer chose to replace the rotors (and pads) when the same problem occurred (at about the same mileage) on my '02.
