Factory HID color on our TL's?

I was wondering what temperature our factory OEM HID's are... I want to purchase a pair for my fogs and make sure I get the same color. Thanks

6000 kelvin would be a slight bluish color.

6000 is a popular replacement choice for low beams but you lose white light in front of the car on the ground
5000 is a better choice in my opinion,, as a 6k driver

the additional blue over 4300 picks out the reflecto material in road line paint, road signs, semi truck reflective tape etc

How bout going back to stock 4300 for the brightest most usable light. Blue and purple lights dont look cool nor do they help you see.

not by using the search function, that's for sure.

5000k is a good compromise. it's a nice looking crystal white with a tad hint of blue. I love it

^ well as you may have read, bluer = less light output = less visibility overall

but if you want to take that risk you just need to change bulbs. 6000K-10000K is what youre looking for. google each interval (6000, 8000, 10000) to see how it looks.

if you want to see at night/in the rain, stick to 4300K please.

the high beam isn't an hid bulb so you can put any bulb that you want so long as it is the correct size (and obviously not an HID bulb)

I have 6k in my car and i will admit that it cuts a bit of the light out but not enough for me have an issue with it.

I have 6k white (as hidextra puts it) and i love the color and the brightness.

don't go higher than 6k it'll be an issue

I have 100,000k But no really, I'm glad I got 5000k HID bulbs. I would think the 6000k would be too blue. Either 4300k or 5000k for replacements.
