Are The Factory Ground Effects A Snow Plow?

has anybody used their car in the snow with the factory ground effects before . i live in wisconsin and drive 1000 miles a week sometimes in some deeper snow . has anybody had trouble with the frt airdam breaking ? or pushing snow in front of them? yes i know its almost spring but i want to add them this summer. can the frt and rear be removed fairly easy ? i dont think the side skirts will be a problem but i can see if the frt and rear are sorta breakable they could be ripped off in the snow . i havent been able to see a set installed in my area to check things out . any help would be great

my 02 tl-s is getting its first tranny at 77000 miles today

You'll be fine dont worry. The only thing about them in the winter is from.. the dam snow getting stuck in your wheel wells and them sticking on to the sides of your kit. You just got remove that... every now and then.. which I do with a couple of taps using my hand... and all the wet snow just fall right off.

As far as plowing snow.. dont worry!

I live in Canada with H/R sports + oem bodykit, I can drive through winter fine. If it's a snow plow then I'd be plowing before the folks in states

During the several big storms we had this past winter, I seriously was plowing the snow with my front lip. No damages because it was all soft fresh snow, but man, it sucked.

i thought this thread was a joke when i read the title...my mind just doesn't think of the other uses for my body kit...probably due to the fact that i haven't seen snow in about 18 years
