Question Factory body kit--fit question

Can anybody out there who got the factory body kit with their TL-S please tell me if the pieces mounted flush on your car, i.e., no small gaps between the skirt and the body? I have the factory body kit on mine and although it appears to be mounted correctly, I noticed that there is a small gap (small, but large enough for small pebbles and stuff to fall in) in the rear corner areas of the rear lower skirt where the fit is not flush with the rear bumper.

Just wanted to know if all TL-Ss that have the TL-S factory body kit have this problem (especially the rear skirt) or if it's just my car...

Thanks!
Tony

I have the same problem on my passenger side rear. It's almost as if it sags slightly causing the gap. You can use a double stick tape on the inside of the skirt and wedge it against the car, I personally won't do it b/c after a while with washing the car, rain, snowthe glue on the double stick will begin to wear and you'll be in the same boat again, only this time there might be glue on the paint.

I have the same problem especially the rear. Just keep cleaning it, nothing I can do.

i aslo have that gap so i agree with TypeSDragon... just keep it clean... i always spray that part with the hose so it can flush out anything that gets inside....

The bodykit is somewhat adjustable. Meaning, the holes for the kit aren't circlular, but stretched out... like a rectangle.

Use your imagination here.

normal hole... (_)
kit holes... (____)

So you can loosen the bolts in the rear, push your body panel tighter and retighten em. Just crawl under your rear bumper and you'll see what I'm talkn bout pretty easily. Next weekend i'll probably end up doing this... I noticed the gaps after I installed my kit and then when back and adjusted some of them pretty easily. I just want to go back through and tighten the whole kit.

Okay, so I'm not the only one. Regardless of whether or not the gaps can be closed I'm gonna tell the dealer to fix it. Heck, it's an Acura, and on top of that it's the *factory* body kit--there's no excuse as to why they can't put it on correctly so that it mounts flush. And I won't even talk about the gap between the horn cover and the steering wheel...
