just purchased my car and i am intrested in purchasing an extended warranty anyone here any idea on what company i should look up or how to go around it ? BTW mine has 76 k miles on it

Well I'll put it this way - I have been wondering about doing this too, as I have 80K on mine. I heard warranty gold is not good, but I may be mistaking it for another company. But when you do find a company, let me know, cause I may want to go ahead and do this too.

sounds good i made a few calls to snobby acura dealerships in my town but they would sell me warranty only if i buy the car from them huh. The finance guy warned me not to go with national warranty company or any of the bogus warranty company that is on the net. But i am on top of it and will let you know i make any progress.

It is from CURRY HONDA in MA. Paid $1,085 for 3 years

zero deductible bumber to bumber (except normal wear &

tear items).

phoneboy you must have a low mileage acura. we have 80k cars and extended warranty does not come from the dealer that easy. if any of you guys get a decent place..let us know.

ok i called a buddy of mine who is a manager at acura store basically he told me that i would have to get the car checked from the service dept ($150) normally. Then the warranty would generally run above $900 for 12 Mos/12k Miles. Even though i told him i knew a few more people that would buy the warranty it didnt make a difference but he is gonna check again and get back to me tommorow so i will let you know.

I bought an 02 TL-S with 28K miles. It was a Certified Pre-Owned Car.....so that automatically extended the warranty to 62,000 or 5 years (from original purchase date).

I then decided to purchase an extended warranty from the dealer for $890. I now have 100,000 miles or 7 years from the original purchase date. Not a bad deal I think. I realize this doesn't really help you guys with 80K miles....but I just thought I'd share anyway.

don't Certified preowned automatically have 100k mile warranty?

Nope. Only the Tranny had 7 year 100K. The $890 was to give it Bumper to Bumber 7 year 100K.

ok i have given up my search for the warranty my conclusion is that if you can find one for $1000 then its a good deal i got a few dealerships in chicago i called and they are all around the same price range with a service inspection (extra $$$ ) if anyone is intrested i will post the name of the dealership.
