Exhaust Tips might burn....

Hey I just installed the 3A Racing tips from Auto Zone, and love em. I got the slanted ones since I got the kit, the stock ones are a bit too small for my liking.

My question to all of you's now is, when you put the tip on, did you guys make it flush with your body kit and if so, how much gap did you leave btw the tip and the body kit, cuz Im afraid that if I dont leave enough gap then, the heat from the tip will melt the paint off my kit. Am I right?? The way I have it right now is, I can barely fit my pinky finger btw the top of the tip and the bottom of the kit. I feel that this might be too close, so please advise me!

Thanx.

PS My pinky isn't fat!!

you should probably have them plush with the back bumper...that way, the top of the tips rest on the side skirt...it will look good that way...

I doubt it will burn it though....it shouldn't get that hot...

you never know though.

i would leave 1/4 inch or a little more between them. the paint probably wont burn but that will help keep them from rubbing against the body kit. the TL exhaust shakes around quite abit

Good observation and Good Point Dude. I was thinking more along the lines of 1/2 inch btw the kit and the tips.
