Im looking to get a pair of exhaust tips this weekend.. Just wondering is there any cutting involved? Not familiar with this process, also is there anything i should look out for when buying?

Most here use the 3A tips found at Pepboys. I don't have a pepboys by me, so I'm still looking. No cutting from what I gather. Just unbolt the stocks and switch 'em.

Spray some WD40 on it (spray is good) and wait about 5 mins. Then pray that the old rusted bolts won't strip or break. Less then 10 mins if you can get the stock ones off easily. I live in FL so no salts or ice or other crap. My stock tips came off very easily.

Top pics has the OEM 02+ TL tails ($300 with wiring harness from 1888RAYLAKS)

(Then I had a dumbass truck with the gate down smash my right OEM ones and drove off)

Second pic with the kit has the DEPO aftermarket rear light they are both sold by Matrixracing and procarparts on ebay for 125 dollars cheaper then the OEM ones.

Both tails are great quality and I recommend either.

yeah i tried WD-40 for like an hour and the bolt-heads just kinda disintegrated, so i ended up taking some metal shears and cutting that metal strip on the stock tips.

Hzm82, do the 3A exhaust tips' mounting bolts stick out really bad ? Do you have a close-up pic of the mounting end of the tips ?

You can only see the bolt if you bend down and look. I don't have any pics because I don't feel like bending over to take a pic. The kit hides the end of the tips very well also.
