Empty behind rear wheels...

Right behind the rear wheel is this empty space, there would be mud guards there, but I didn't get them...
I have a 2000 TL are they all like that?

yes, there's a space behind the rear wheel to collect dirt, road grime, you name it
i wish i had a mudguard there, but that doesn't look so good IMO

well there is nothing there, it's just a big hole. you can see the muffler too...
