eibach pro-kit alignment

I've had the prokit drop on my 2002 TLS for about 30,000 mi(approx) but never got an alignment. I thought that wheel alignments only adjust left/right, but reading through the forum i found out there is more to it than that (something about toe in or something). I have no idea what that means. Do i need an alignment? the inner side of tires wear out quick. real quick. so alignment or camber kit? thanks alot.
