Eibach Pro or H&R sport SPRINGS?
I'm finally looking at making a few mods besides the fog lamps(i've changed those in the pic) and LEDS both inside and out . I've seen a few threads about the wheel gap. Yeah, I hate it too. So could I go wrong by choosing Eibach 2.0 inch drop up front and 1.7 drop in the back? I don't want to the loose the overall feel of the ride. Also, I plan to keep the OEM shocks. Any thoughts or ideas from anyone?
Next Mod coming:
1) Injen Cold Air Intake
2) OEM Full Body Kit
3) JDM Black-out Headlights and Fog Lambs
4) OEM 2003 Honda CPE MoonRoof Visor
5) OEM 2003 Honda Chrome Exhaust Finishers (V6)
6) Audio System (?) worry about sound and steering wheel controls
7) Rims (Don't know yet possible 17x7inch Konig Unknown)

To answer your question, you can't go wrong with either brand. Very good quality springs. However, you can't have your cake and eat it with the TL suspension. If you don't like wheel gap, then you have to change the suspension. If you change the suspension, then you're gonna pay with the ride quality.
Aggressive springs like the Eibach or H&R will definitely help reduce ugly wheel gap. But you will affect how smooth the car handles on bumpy roads. Also, the life of the OEM shocks will suffer since they were not engineered to work with those aftermarket springs.
Personally, I'd recommend changing both shocks & springs at the same time (or even go with coilovers) so that you won't have to pay labor twice since the shocks will probably go a lot sooner after changing the springs. Consider Tein coilovers (there are a couple different ones available through our sponsoring vendors) or other companies who make applications for the TL.
Hope that helps.
PS I went with Koni Yellow shocks + Tein H.tech springs since I had to negotiate steep driveways (to avoid scraping the OEM bodykit).

kill you till you die
My Tokico HP honestly dont feel very soft, though I could set my Tokico Illuminas to ride like a caddy on my accord and like a track car 5 minutes later.

I can't believe Kris hasn't chimed in on this thread yet and recommended H&R.
As derrick said you cannot go wrong with either brand; they both make great quality springs. We have both in stock.

Here i am
I HIGHLY recommend replacing your shock at the same time. Especially if they are original.
As for springs i only recommend H&R. They are the best period (but eibach are good as well)
Shocks, you have to pay to play but Koni Yellow and Bilstein shocks are the best and will give you the stock ride you want ( i have koni yellow and H&R sports and honestly it rides better than stock)
There are other less expensive shocks that will do like KYB and Tokico that will work but arent as good.

I like my comptechs alot although my car is still not low enough so i would suggest not even wasting money on springs and save up for coils.

Direct apples to apples comparison... Even though they appear nearly identical on paper, the h&rs ride substantially better than eibach. I tried the eibachs for over a year before swapping them out for the h&rs.

I went with H&R sport springs +Bilstein shocks and the ride is great. Sometimes I wish I would have went with Tein basic coilovers (about the same price as my spring/shock combo) only because there is still a little too much gap in the rear with this setup.

Another vote for H&R sport springs. I put in the H&Rs 5 years ago, using the stock shocks. The ride was OK, but I replaced the shocks with Tokico HPs (aka "Blues") about 3 years ago. The ride is better than stock - firm and controlled but not harsh at all. IMO my suspension and ride height is what the TL should have come with.

i also recommend upgrading your struts while changing out your springs.. i was a big fan of lowering springs on oem struts, esp if you are on a budget.. i thought they felt awesome until i experienced them with performance struts.. night and day difference.. you can always use the oem for now and upgrade later, but might as well do it right the first time..

H&R Sport Springs Tokico Illumina Shocks
When I got my car quite a few recommended the H&R Springs but emphasized I get shocks as well. I don't like slammed cars and am more into practicality. There's a lot of pot holes and speed bunps, not to mention steep driveways! That anything less was going to take the fun out of driving. These springs give me 1.5" drop I believe, they reduce some wheel gap and improved the handling a lot.
The last few months I've been wanting to get coilovers though. If people are sitting in the back seat and I go over a bump or dip it sounds like the cars bottoming out or the tires are hitting the inside of the fender in back. Prefer to have something with the same amount of drop just less bounce and more stability so corners are effortless and my cars fun to drive again!
I think the springs were around $200-250 and the shocks around $100-120. Seem to remember $350 or $400 though and could be wrong about the price. Hopping later I can sell these and pay off some of the coilovers, just have to research which ones.

What shocks are you running? What rims/tires? I didnt have that issue with my H&Rs and Konis with 255/35/18s (now 275s)
