ECU, Tick, Valves, Injectors

So some of you will know that I had a tick that was fixed with the valve adjustment. Well I've got a tick that's around 1500-2000 rpm. Above and below it seems to go away.

So here's what I did earilier this week. Switched to 91oc gas and reset the ECU. After reset, about 5-10 minutes the tick was gone, the next day the tick is back. If I reset the ECU it goes away until the car is turned off. On the next start the tick is back.

I'm fairly confident we did the valve adjustment correctly and the car is otherwise in great condition. What has changed is my driving. I'm driving a lot more city/short trips of less then 10 miles since our move to our new house. I'm not sure this has anything to do with it. I switched back to 91 to eliminate any possibility it was the gas. It's not I still only run chevron gas. There is no noise difference between 87 or 91 so I've eliminated that.

My Honda experience is they all get a little tick at some point, but never at 125K. I dont race it around and am easy on the gas. I can hear the tick on each cyclinder, not as frequent as valves and more in line with the injectors.

Could my injectors simply be loud? Is there a method to quiet them?

I'm at 125K right now.
