Does anyone have pictures of these pads on the car. I've got a SSM with 18" Chrome Advan Model 5's and am not sure what the green brake pads will look like through the wheels.

It doesn't sound that great.

If they are going to look funny, do you think painting them black will damage them or the slotted/drilled rotors they will be grabbing?

you can tape off the pad side and spray them black if you want. not much is going to be visible any way

When you say "pad side", do you mean the surface that touches the rotor?

yes, the part that touches the rotors surface
i dont hava any pics from when i had them on but the visible green isnt that bad looking
