Dynoed my stock CL-S today, what you guys think?
Okay, it was like 85-95 degrees in this garage, fan blowing on front of car. Car dynoed at its best and it was sitting for a few hours, 197hp and 182.9TQ. I was expecting over 200. For a car rated at 260hp and it only hits this! My 2001 222hp Maxima did 184hp stock, and 193TQ!!!!! Give me a break!
What do you guys think on this?
2500 miles, all stock.

The TL/CL is on the average power loss of 25% from the flywheel to the wheels.
Your maxima is well below the average power loss an amazing 17% :wow:
Don't know what is wrong with your maxima, but if 17% it is, good for you.
the 197whp on the TL/CL is about right. This is normal. I have seen other dynos from 195-202whp.

Thus it shoulnd't matter on a dyno, since by the time(or before) you reach the maximum HP/TQ the torque converter is working the same as the clutch.
Also clutches perform better than torque converters at point of engagement. Most dynos start dyno at 3k miles. So this point is also out the question.
1/4 miles times is a different story.

You should be getting around 205 hp. You probably should try it again after your first oil change.

Maybe it still needs to break in? I'm not sure but I have a friend with a stock 2001 gs-r with 15000 miles on it and he'll runs around 15.7 on his car. This other guy who just bought a stock '94 gs-r with 65000 miles ran 15.3 on his car. There was an issue a couple years back comparing a brand new porche 911 with 1k miles compared to one with 50k miles (same model one year old)and the one with 50k miles ran 8 tenths of a second better. I hope this helps. Maybe we just need to drive our cars more.
