Unhappy Driver's side dash squeak

Hello,

The driver's dash of my TL-S is squeaking crazily this
morning.
It starts to happen 3 days ago when I took my car to
dealership for A/C repair. It
sounds like some rubber is rubbing each other.
It does not seem to be seat belt rattle cos' squeaking
nose comes from the front dash. The problem is
the squeaking is gone when the mechanics did the road
test with me...

Anyone has experienced
the similar problem and knows the fix?

Regards,

Sounds like they may not have aligned something properly after they replaced the dashboard (that is, if they removed the dash to access the A/C).

To date, I do not have a dashboard rattle. You're describing a "squeak" or a rubber "creak" ... It could be that they pushed some wiring harnesses out of their "settled" position during manufacture and now they are vibrating, squeaking, etc.

Your best bet is to drive the car directly to the dealership as soon as you hear the noise (if you can spare 15minutes) and just have them HEAR the noise, and then have them repair it at a later date. At least they won't think you're crazy. BTW, dealerships don't like doing "driveability"/warranty issues, such as squeaks, creaks .. etc. So it's up to you and your level of persistance to resolve the issue.

Best of luck.

Thanks for your advise,
I believe I should describe it as rubber 'creak'.. It
doesn't seems to be metal clicking noise, it is some
rubber 'creak' under the dash. It is getting more
and more noticable (and even annoying).

Actually I heard the creak when I was on my way
for A/C repair. As soon as I arrived at dealership
and it was gone... I guess I will take it there
during the 1st oil change and have them diagnose
it.

The similar thing happen to my 98 Accord, but I
could reproduce it without driving it on the road
and it made dealership much easier to fix the
problem.
