Driver Seat Popping/Clicking Anyone?
Has anyone had a driver seat start popping/clicking when your weight shifts back and forth on the seat back? I'm 5'8" 140lbs and my seat has been going crazy. It was happening just while driving when your weight shifted.
I had my wife take the car into the shop and duplicated it for the advisor. We got the car back and they said they removed the seat back and adjusted a clip and some spring. No more did we get around the block and it started up again. Went right back to show them and they ordered an entire seat back for the car. The part is here, but I haven't had it put in yet.
Anyone had this? Is it like the squeaky seatbelt buckle and can be fixed easily without dealer involvment? The WD-40 worked on the 2nd buckle they put in the car that squeaked too!

I had the same seat problem with my 99 TL-Navi. Luckily (so Far) I have not had that problem on my 03 TLS-Navi. Granted it is only 1 week old, but no problems so far.

Both the seat in my former 2000 did and my current 2002 does this. Granted I'm a lot bigger than you, but it does it not matter who is driving. In fact, it makes a noise when the seatback is adjusted with no one sitting in it.

I had that problem for one day with my 2000 TL.
The problem happen last year after owning the car for one year.
I adjusted the drivers seat & when I would turn a corner I would here a loud pop. I had ajusted the lumbar suppurt & it happen.
I then readjusted it the next day & it quit. I took it to the dealer but they could not duplicate the problem. The drivers seat has been out of the car because the had to replace the seat heater element. The car is now over 2yrs old & that problem has not surfaced since that day. I was well informed of the problem in advance because of this board.
