Door Open Warning Not Working

The other day my mom took my car out and when she brought it back she said my alarm wouldn't trigger. To make a long story short, it was because one of my doors was slightly ajar. I didn't notice it at first because the warning light never came on. I can't figure out why it didn't come on. Am I doing something wrong? Has this ever happen to anyone before?

Cool

Nope. Take it to the dealer. The dash light(s) should come on for any door or the trunk not closed.

Make sure your dome light circuit is active. If you have a fuse out and your dome light/door kickpanel lights aren't working then the car won't know if a door is open. If they are working then I would have a dealer check it...

The "red" on the dash indicator light is very faint. If it's really bright out it's easy to miss the warning.
